We at RBA aim to establish an implicit, explicit and forward looking vision of the ‘RIGHTS BASED APPROACH’ programmes, with inbuilt centralised advocacy and research component, that would advocate about specific issues related to children & young people. Keeping these aims in mind certain programmes has been planned accordingly

Target Group: Women, young communtiy girls and boys
Title: An Awareness Programme on Common Ailments among Children and its Prevention
Methodology: Presentation followed by group participation session, discussion and Q & A session.
Objective:
* Understand the existing health problems especially in the rural community and understand the available preventive measures used.
* Discussion on common illnesses prevalent in children and various preventive measures that can be opted including low cost dietary input.
* Discussion on immunization and its importance.
* Public interactive session which will give them clear idea for the same.
Outcome: The programme was a great success as at the end participants were able to identify the common ailments that are prevelant among children in various seasons. Also they came up with diiferent ideas as to how it can be prevented. Certain myths were also discovered which was clarified by the trainer

Title: Who am I?
Methodology: Presentation (Story) followed by group participation session, discussion and Q & A session and Quiz competition on understanding of the topic.
Objective:
To develop an enhanced understanding and realisation of Self
Understanding of Self Exploration and its importance
To make the children understand the importance of sharing about oneself in interpersonal relationship.
Outcome:
The usage of Audio Video Aid with the group of children to make them understand the concept "Self Awareness" was quite effective. They came up with ideas of what and where they see them
selves after 10 - 15 yrs. With facilitaion they came came up with their strengths and weaknesses. The concept was further revised through a quiz competion.
“Ujala 2009”-New Year Bash with Less Fortunate Children
On the onset of New Year 2009, more than 400 children of underprivileged section of the society from rural Kirari village of Sultanpuri, Delhi celebrated "Ujala 2009". The New Year function was jointly organised by two NGOs - Rights Based Approach Society (RBA) & Navjyoti (ASWACA) in the spirit of spreading smile and happiness to the children.
